Kohler Design Forum Taiwan is an event where Asian design industry experts gather to discuss and learn about the future of the 5.6 trillion-dollar wellness economy*. It’s a chance to gain exclusive knowledge and inspiration from well-known speakers to navigate wellness design ideas and decision-making. Together we can build meaningful relationships that may significantly impact our industry.  ​

We will broadly explore how the focus on wellness in residential, commercial, and travel industries is at a vital moment for growth and disruption. The speakers will share their perspectives and insights about architecture and design and invite you to contemplate engaging ideas for productive and sustainable ways to wellness.

Tony Chi

Tony Chi’s design philosophy emphasizes emotional resonance over aesthetics, creating spaces that engage all senses. Known for projects like Park Hyatt Shanghai and Rosewood London, his “invisible design” subtly shapes experiences. His global influence is evident in his work with top restaurants and luxury hotels worldwide, reflecting his belief in integrating design with function. Chi’s designs prioritize holistic well-being, offering tranquility and balance and redefining luxury as an immersive, nurturing experience. His legacy continues to set new standards in hospitality design.​

Hyouck Huh
PESIDENT, KOSID;​ PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT AND DESIGNER, DESIGN TOMORROW​

Hyouch Huh, principal architect and designer at Design Tomorrow and the president of The Korean Society of Interior Architects Designers (KOSID) in South Korea, graduated from Konkuk University and Pantheon Sorbonne University and studied at L’École Nationale d’Architecture in Paris. He founded Design Tomorrow in 2006, specializing in luxury residential projects, boutique hotels, and commercial retail. Huh has received awards, including the 2020 Asia Design Award and the 2019 Italy A’ Design Award Gold Winner.​​

Hyouck HUH是 Design Tomorrow 的首席建築師暨設計師,韓國室內建築師設計師協會(KOSID)主席。 畢業於首爾建國大學建築系和巴黎第一大學(萬神殿-索爾邦大學)(Pantheon Sorbonne University),接著赴巴黎國立建築學院-(L'École Nationale d'Architecture)深造。 他於 2006 年創立設計工作室「Design Tomorrow」,是奢華住宅專案、精品酒店和商業零售領域的設計專家。 Hyouck 獲獎無數,包括2020年亞洲設計獎和2019年義大利A’設計獎金獎。

Mathew Lui
Partner, HBA Hong Kong​

Mathew Lui, a partner at HBA Hong Kong, has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality design industry and has completed many reputable hotel and hospitality projects. With extensive exposure to the unique surroundings of Southeast Asia and other parts of the globe, Liu’s style shows an appreciation for the order of both Western and Asian design yet blends historical elements into his highly luxurious and contemporary interiors.​​

Mathew Lui是香港HBA的合夥人,在餐旅設計產業擁有30多年的資歷,並完成許多知名的酒店和餐旅業計畫案。 他對東南亞和全球各地的獨特環境有著深厚的了解,其風格表現出他對結合東、西方設計品味的賞識,同時將歷史元素融入其極致奢華且現代感的室內設計中。

Duweon Choo​
Pro Designer of Raemian Apartment, SAMSUNG C&T Corporation​

Duweon Choo, a RAEMIAN designer for 25 years, has designed innovative residential design units in 43 complexes and community facilities in 41 complexes in South Korea. Choo’s notable project, RAEMIAN ONE BAILEY, which was completed in 2023, introduced the “Cocance” lifestyle concept, blending community and vacation. This project aims to make daily life feel like a journey and sets a new standard in apartment community facility design.​

Duweon Choo 擔任 RAEMIAN 的設計師 25 年,在韓國為43 個複合建築設計創新住宅單位,和為 41 個複合建築設計社區設施。 其著名專案 RAEMIAN ONE BAILEY 於 2023 年竣工,引入「Cocance」生活方式概念,將社區和度假融為一體。 該專案的目標是讓日常生活感覺就像是一趟旅行,並為公寓社區設施的設計樹立新標準。

Joe Lin
Chairman, CSID

Joe Lin, a founding partner of YEN Partnership Architects, currently serves as the chairman of the board at Chinese Society of Interior Designers (CSID).  Lin received his bachelor’s degree from Tamkang University Taiwan and a master’s in civil engineering from National Taiwan University. Lin teaches at theChung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) Department of Architecture and is a university visiting critic, lecturing and sharing academic research and spatial studies on exploring new possibilities in architecture and urban space. Lin has led the team to receive numerous design awards.

林彥穎,十彥建築事務所創始合夥人,中華民國室內設計協會(CSID)現任理事長。  林彥穎於台灣淡江大學取得學士學位,其後取得台灣大學土木工程學系碩士學位。 他任教於中原大學建築系,也是大學客座評論家,講授並分享有關學術和空間研究的知識,探索建築和城市空間的嶄新可能性, 所帶領的團隊榮獲多項設計大獎。
