Nestled in a verdant savannah overlooking the ecological treasure of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Singita Kwitonda Lodge is a testament to the physical, emotional, and spiritual power of nature.

Serving as base camp for life-changing gorilla trekking excursions and explorations of the Sabyinyo, Gahinga, and Muhabura volcanoes, the lodge pairs unique nature experiences with eight ultraluxurious suites that incorporate local materials and craftsmanship to perfectly reflect its sense of place.

The building uses locally-sourced volcanic rock, river stone, handmade ceramic tiles, and oven-fired red clay bricks made by area residents, connecting the lodge to its landscape and culture. Inside, each of the suites features a private heated plunge pool, in- and outdoor fireplaces, and large timber-framed windows offering breathtaking views of the nearby scenery and volcanoes.

From a design perspective, the interiors incorporate layers of textures, materials, and colors to create a space that is both reflective and interactive. The design team selected KOHLER® Purist faucets in Vibrant™ Rose Gold finish to complement the surrounding landscape and create a rustic, yet luxurious feel.

With a warm, fresh, and elegant presence, the delicately muted tone of Vibrant Rose Gold conveys a sense of subtle sophistication that is equally suited to elevating both modern and traditional designs.
